Die Struck Lapel Pins
As if hand-chiseled by a master metalwork artist, die struck pins can have a classic, aged look or sparkle like a shiny new penny. While they have numerous purposes, die struck lapel pins are frequently used as years-of-service and employee awards. Often described as handsome and regal, these pins range in finish from a sandblasted look to brightly polished to antiqued gold, silver or copper. Die struck pins have a medium to high perceived value and can be viewed as keepsakes. Crafted from iron, brass or copper, cutting molds are made separately prior to the plating process. Raised surfaces are then polished which can leave a darker appearance in recessed areas.
